Former Nollywood star and ex-beauty queen Regina Askia has reacted to the passing of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a heartfelt post shared via her Instagram page, Regina urged Nigerians to show respect in the wake of the ex-leader’s death, reminding the public of the brevity of life and the importance of service to others.
“President Buhari journeys home today. Let’s send him off respectfully with a prayer,” she wrote.
She continued:
“Remember, dust we all are and to dust we will return. Let’s make each day count in service to each other with the time we have on earth. Journey well Mr President, rest in peace.”
Her post comes amid heated reactions across social media following Buhari’s death, with many divided on whether to mourn or criticise his legacy.
